This project started with a call about an air conditioner that was not working. Our technician found a failed condensate pump in the home’s 2013 Goodman system. We replaced the pump and flushed the drain lines. During further testing, the blower motor began to burn and tripped the breaker. We quoted a blower-motor repair and recommended replacing the control board. With costly repairs ahead, the homeowner requested a same-day replacement estimate.
In April 2026, our Laury Heating team installed a Carrier 59SC6 natural gas furnace, a Carrier 26SCA5 air conditioner, and a new evaporator coil. The project also included a new thermostat and a custom duct connection above the coil to connect the equipment to the existing ductwork.
The furnace uses an electrically efficient blower with multiple airflow settings. These settings let our installers match airflow to the system’s needs. The air conditioner uses Puron Advance refrigerant, which has a lower global warming potential than the older R-410A refrigerant.
The homeowner wanted to replace heating and cooling equipment that was more than 20 years old. In December 2025, our Laury Heating team converted this Catherine Avenue home from oil heat to natural gas and replaced the central air conditioner.
We installed a WeatherMaker PG96MSA gas furnace, a WeatherMaker PA5SAN5 air conditioner, and a new evaporator coil. The furnace and coil were installed in the basement. The project included new gas piping from the existing meter and removal of the basement oil tank.
The furnace is rated at 97% AFUE in this upright installation. That means approximately 97% of its fuel energy becomes heat for the home. Switching to natural gas also eliminates heating-oil deliveries and the need to store oil in the basement.
The new air conditioner uses R-454B refrigerant, which has a lower global warming potential than older R-410A refrigerant.
The air conditioner at this Don Road home had stopped working. The homeowner requested a full heating and cooling replacement. With a gathering planned that weekend, getting the air conditioning working was the priority.
In April 2026, our Laury Heating team installed a Carrier 58SB0 natural gas furnace, a Carrier 26SCA4 air conditioner, and a new evaporator coil. The furnace and coil were installed in the basement.
The new furnace has an 80% AFUE rating, matching the efficiency class of the previous furnace. Approximately 80% of its fuel energy becomes heat for the home. Its multi-speed blower allows our installers to adjust airflow for heating and cooling.
